Good Night

Rain drops on the window
Glowing like pearls in the light
Hauntingly mirror the tears flowing
Down the widow's face at night

That gust of wind on the shore
Making the swings scream in delight
Also carries the silent sob
Of the jilted lover's plight

The early snow in the winter
That makes the young ones joyfully fight
Brings dismay to the homeless
Not knowing where to sleep that night

Should I laugh or should I cry
No more can I rely on other's advice
No more can my mother wish away the question
By putting me to bed and saying Good Night
